Dr. Evans Amune

Certifications: American Board of Anesthesiology, American Board of Pain Medicine

Background: Dr. Evans Amune is an anesthesiologist and pain management specialist board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pain Medicine. He is a member of the JLR Medical Group, which provides anesthesia, critical care, and pain management services to Florida Hospital. Dr. Amune completed his fellowship at the Mayo Clinic Foundation in Jacksonville, Florida where he was chief resident. Prior to that, he completed his anesthesia residency at the Mayo Clinic Foundation in Rochester, Minnesota, and did surgical residency at the Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia and the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Amune began his education in Warri, Nigeria at the College of Education. He majored in Biochemistry before receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree with distinction from Europe. He is an active member of the American Board of Anesthesiology, American Academy of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, International Spine Injection Society, the American Medical Association, the North American Spine Society, the American Surgical Association, the American Academy of Pain Medicine and the Florida Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Amunes principle areas of interest include minimally invasive spine surgery, vertebroplasty, ventral transforaminal neuroplasty, intradiscal procedures such as discography, IDET, percutaneous discectomy, and LASE.
